This article will help you import saved or shared lesson plans in Resources, into your Planboard!
Note: Sharing with your peers is only a feature if you are set up with our grandfathered Collaborate feature within your School District or School, or your School has a paid Solution subscription with Chalk. Otherwise you will be importing lessons from your own saved lesson plans.
Step 1:
Use the Menu button in the top left corner to open up the Navigation menu. Here you will be able to go to Chalk Resources.
Step 2:
Once in Resources, you can search for your lessons in a few different places. By selecting your Groups, you will view lessons shared within your District or School that you belong to as a whole. You can select “Everything” to see all lessons you have access to, “Shared with me” to see lessons shared directly to you, or search by selecting the Groups that you belong to.
Hint! If you’re a Collaborate user, you will see your School district or School as the only group you belong to. Schools with a Chalk Paid Subscription have the ability to create multiple Sharing groups within their school or district.
Step 3:
Once you’ve found the lesson plan or lesson group you’re looking to import more information will appear about the lesson on the right-hand side of the screen. This will tell you who the lesson has been shared with, the title and allow you to preview the lesson before you import it.
Step 4:
Select Import on the lesson plan.
Step 5:
Choose the calendar date of the lesson plan Planboard you would like to import the shared lesson too.
Step 6:
Select the subject(s) or section(s) that you would like to import the lesson plan too.
Step 7:
Decide whether you would like to Overwrite or Shift the current content on that date. Overwrite will replace the content in your Planboard for that date and subject. This will delete the content already there and it cannot be undone. Shift will move the content and all of the future content for that subject section forward one day. If your lesson plan is currently empty, select Overwrite.
Step 8:
You’re done! A quick confirmation will appear in the bottom left corner, and the imported lesson will now appear in your Planboard!
