Setting a grading scale for your semester will change all of the subjects currently with a default grading scale. This will not overwrite subjects that you have specifically assigned a custom grading scale too.
Note: If you haven't yet, you will need to create a scale first. Click here for more info.
Select the semester you want to set the grading scale for by clicking on the semester dropdown. The grading scale will update according to the semester you’ve selected.
Note: If your school subscribes to our Assessment solution, you may see a warning if your grading scale is not aligned with the grading scale set by the school for that semester. Click here to learn how to reset your scale to the school-provided scale.
Click on Manage Scales.
On the left, you will see a list of grading scales. You can filter this list by the Chalk official set, your own custom set or a school set (if you have access to it). On the right is a preview of the grading scale values of your selected scale. Select the scale you want to use, then click on Apply Scale.
A modal will pop up, asking you to confirm that this is the scale you want to use for your semester. Click on Yes, Apply Scale if everything looks good.
