As an admin, you can provide your school with custom grading scales for specific classlists. This article will guide you on how to do so.
Select Classlists from the sidebar or top menu. Navigate to the correct semester and select the classlist from the sidebar.
Click on Edit to make changes to the classlist.
A modal will pop up. On the Grading Scale section, you will see the name of the grading scale currently applied to the classlist and caption just below. Click on Manage Scales.
Note: Default means that the classlist is using the default grading scale for the semester. Click here for more information on a grading scale for your semester.
On the left, you will see a list of grading scales. You can filter this list by the Chalk official set, your own custom set or a school set. On the right is a preview of the grading scale values of your selected scale. Select the scale you want to apply to your classlist and click Apply Scale.
A modal will pop up, asking you to confirm that this is the scale you want to use for the classlist. Click on Yes, Apply Scale if everything looks good.
Now your classlist is using a custom grading scale. You can always reset it back to the semester default by clicking on the Reset to Default button.
NOTE: Teachers assigned to this classlist will receive a notification that their grading scale has been updated. They will need to update their grading scale by following the instructions, click here for more information.
