This article will show you how to create an Observation in the Markboard iOS app, which is currently in beta. If you would like to join the beta, please click here for instructions.
Observations are anecdotal notes, and can include images or videos, that are a great way for teachers to keep track of classroom activities and attitudes, as well as using this information to update parents on how the student is progressing.
In order to create an Observation, tap on the + icon in the bottom right corner.
Choose if you would like to add a Note (written text comment), Audio recording, choose an image from your device's photo Library, record a Video, or take a Photo.
Tap on the student's name to adjust the student attached to this Observation. You can even add multiple students to the same Observation.
If you wish to remove a media attachment you have added to an observation, simply tap on the attachment and choose "Delete Attachment"
Once you are done adding content to your Observation, simply tap on the Add Observation button at the bottom.
Note: Observations have no impact on the student’s calculated grade.
