Welcome to your new school year!
You loved Planboard last year and now you're ready to rock it again. We are here to help you! This quick guide will allow you to maximize your Planboard potential for the upcoming semester. Simply follow the steps below to optimize your semester's set up process, from either the web or your smartphone.
Step 1:
The first thing you will need to do is create a new semester, beginning on the first day of your school year, and ending whenever your semester ends. Depending on whether or not you have the same classes and timetable, you will have to choose either to create a brand new semester or to reuse content from a past semester. You can name it whatever you’d like, but make sure it’s easy to distinguish from your previous semester.
How to create a brand new semester:
How to reuse a past semester's subjects/classes/timetable:
Note: On the mobile app you cannot reuse your last year’s data (subjects and timetable) as a starting point, so if you would like to reuse your previous semester’s content, we recommend launching your browser (even on your phone) and creating a new semester that way.
Step 2:
If you didn’t elect to reuse last year’s subjects and timetable because your classes and subjects are different, then your next step will be to create your subjects!
Step 3:
Once you have created all your subjects, it is then time to set up your timetable!
Note: If you reused your previous year’s setup, you can use the articles above to make any modifications that are necessary such as changing your subject names or details, or modifying your existing timetable.
Step 4:
Now that everything is all set up, you are ready to begin lesson planning!
If you want to reuse lesson plan content from last year, please use your web browser, as this feature is not yet available for mobile. Log in through your browser and use the copy section command to move lesson plans and/or assessments from one subject to another.
