We understand that things tend to change, so after you've set up your semester, you'll still be able to go back and change the title, the start date, and the end date. A common reason for these needs are unexpected off-days, or cancelled exams that extend your semester.
In this article we'll cover how to edit semester start dates, end dates, the name of your semester, and the teaching days.
Select the Menu button in the top left-hand corner of the page.
Select Semesters in the Navigation Menu.
Hover over the semester you wish to edit and click on the pencil icon to edit.
Note: The semester looks like this when you hover over it.
Make the edits you'd like to complete. You can edit your semester name by clicking inside the text box. You can edit the start and end dates by clicking the boxes with the dates inside.
Start and end dates can be moved forwards or backwards. Keep in mind that if you have lessons scheduled for the dates you remove from a semester, you will not be able to view them in your Day, Week or Month view on Planboard -- lessons will be marked as "Unscheduled" and moved to Unit view. You also cannot extend your semester dates to overlap an existing semester.
There is a checkbox for each day of the week that you teach - feel free to adjust this as necessary if your schedule changes over the course of the semester!
You can also set Off-Days from here using the Add Holidays and Add Off-Day options. Learn more about that here.
